The 2023-24 winter high school sports season is coming to an end, and the announcement of the Elite All-Star teams has been made. Over 80 athletes from the coverage areas of the Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin, Elmira Star-Gazette, Corning Leader, and Ithaca Journal have earned Elite accolades.
These selections cover boys basketball, girls basketball, boys wrestling, boys and girls indoor track & field, boys swimming & diving, and boys and girls bowling. Coaches in each region voted for their top athletes separately. However, input from the sports departments of the newspapers was also taken into consideration.
It’s important to note that not all coaches participated in the voting process. Despite this, a large number of athletes were recognized as Elite in their respective sports. These athletes should be commended for their hard work and dedication to their sport throughout the season.
