The nominees for the Boys and Girls Bowler of the Year at the Detroit High School Sports Awards have been announced. This event, presented by Detroit Area Honda Dealers and produced in partnership with the U.S. Army, is part of a nine-month student-athlete recognition program that honors athletes, coaches, and teams from the greater Detroit region participating in Michigan High School Athletic Association sports.
During the live show on June 18 at The Fillmore Detroit, nominees for Boys Bowler of the Year and Girls Bowler of the Year will be recognized, along with players of the year in 27 other sports. The event will also feature premier awards for outstanding on- and off-field achievements, including the Courage Award, Coaches of the Year, Teams of the Year, and Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year awards.

The nominees for Boys Bowler of the Year include Bryce Cadaret from Allen Park Cabrini High School, Dylan Harnden from Utica Eisenhower High School, Clinton Harris from Warren Woods Tower High School, Landen Moore from Macomb Dakota High School, Nolan Pepper from Madison Heights Lamphere High School, and Brendan Riley from Waterford Mott High School. These talented bowlers have shown their skills throughout their season and are now up for recognition as one of Michigan’s top bowlers.
The nominees for Girls Bowler of the Year include Kourtney Downham from Allen Park Cabrini High School, Caitlyn Johnson from Livonia Clarenceville High School, Sophia Matheson from Utica Eisenhower High School, Ava Mazza from Utica High School, Haylie Patterson from Macomb Dakota High School
