In recognition of the outstanding service of its physicians, UVA Health has donated $10,000 to the Free Clinic of Culpeper. As part of the nonprofit Culpeper Wellness Foundation, the Free Clinic provides essential healthcare services to uninsured individuals and those who cannot afford medical care. The clinic offers a wide range of services, including medical treatment, counseling, transportation assistance, literacy training, employment support, and nutrition counseling.
The clinic’s dedicated staff is supported by a team of community volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. These volunteers include physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and office staff who work tirelessly to provide high-quality care to patients in need.
Located on the UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center campus, the free clinic benefits from UVA Health’s collaboration in several ways. UVA Health provides lab work, imaging services, and specialty care to patients at the clinic. This partnership ensures that patients receive comprehensive care that meets their unique needs.
Tammy LaGraffe, Director of the Free Clinic of Culpeper expressed deep appreciation for UVA Health’s ongoing support of the clinic and its patients. She stated that this donation is a testament to UVA Health’s commitment to the clinic’s mission and their role as steadfast partners in promoting health and well-being in Culpeper. Donna Staton also expressed gratitude for the dedication of doctors working at UVA Community Health and UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center stating that this donation symbolizes their appreciation for their hard work on National Doctors’ Day.
