In March 2024, McGill’s Chemistry Outreach Group participated in the Real Ventures Future Innovators Science Fair at the Royal Charles Elementary School to celebrate International Women’s Month. Along with other STEM experts and educators, they joined forces to inspire students.
The group showcased a series of captivating experiments that sparked curiosity and excitement among the young minds. Paty Garcia, a member of the group, shared how her educational journey influenced her perception of women in STEM fields and motivated her to pursue a career in science.
Real Ventures believes that collaborations like this one can help increase diversity in STEM and encourage youth from all backgrounds to see themselves as future leaders in the field of science. To make a lasting impact on the next generation of innovators, the program empowers young minds through hands-on learning opportunities.
