Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey has launched an investigation into the sale of illegal vape and marijuana products by distributors in the state. One of the businesses targeted is Vape Society Supplies in Columbia, with CIDs also issued for businesses in Wentzville, Kansas City, and St. Louis. Bailey claims that these businesses are violating the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act by selling e-cigarettes and vapes deceptively and Delta-8 products in illegal means.
In order to gather evidence, Bailey requested documents and information from the businesses, including information on business owners, organizational charts, products sold, terms of sale, inventory, and more for all locations where the businesses conduct business. The deadline for compliance was set at May 10th.
The Food and Drug Administration had previously issued a warning letter to Vape Society Supplies regarding electronic nicotine delivery system and e-liquid products. Specifically mentioned were certain products being sold without proper marketing authorization orders. ABC 17 News reached out to Vape Society Supplies for comment on the investigation, and updates will be provided as the story develops.
