Riley Herbst has secured the second spot on the front row for Saturday’s Xfinity race at Dover Motor Speedway, after qualifying with a lap of 156.781 mph. This is his third consecutive top-two finish at this venue and marks his fifth career pole. Brandon Jones, who won the pole with a lap of 156.863 mph, is joined on the front row by Herbst.
Herbst expressed frustration after qualifying, questioning the rules of passing during the race. “I just don’t understand how I can be so close behind him and not be able to pass him,” he said. Justin Allgaier qualified in third place with 156.672 mph, followed by Austin Hill in fourth with 156.060 mph. Sheldon Creed secured fifth place at 155.851 mph, and Kyle Weatherman achieved a career-best sixth place at 155.689 mph.
Other drivers competing for the $100,000 Dash 4 Cash bonus include Jesse Love, Ryan Sieg, and Anthony Alfredo. The Xfinity race is set to begin at 1:47 p.m on Saturday on FS1, marking the 78th time Xfinity teams have competed at this venue.
