The weather forecast for today indicates that skies will brighten with temperatures rising near 80 degrees in the afternoon, particularly in the Capital Region and points south. There is a possibility of a few thunderstorms developing in the atmosphere, with the highest severe threat expected to be in the south and east. However, showers and storms may also impact areas to the north and west, especially in the evening, although the risk of severe weather is currently low. Looking ahead, the weather pattern is expected to become cooler and unsettled towards the end of the week and into Mother’s Day Weekend. A disturbance will bring scattered rain tomorrow, with temperatures cooling down into the 60s for most areas.
