Hailey Van Lith, a talented basketball player who recently completed her fourth season at LSU, has announced that she will be transferring to TCU for her fifth and final season. Van Lith, who is from Wenachtee, Washington, has been a standout player throughout her career, averaging 14.5 points, four rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.

During her time with Louisville and LSU, Van Lith played as a wing before transitioning to a point guard position at LSU. She was a key member of the Louisville team that reached the Final Four and another Elite Eight before moving to LSU. Van Lith’s decision to transfer to TCU comes after much consideration and research into the program’s culture and future opportunities.

TCU is a strong program that made an appearance in the AP Top 25 this season but faced challenges due to injuries. As a result, they had to forfeit two games and hold open tryouts to add players to their roster. Despite these challenges, TCU started the season strong with a 13-0 record, including a win over BYU in the Big 12 Conference opener. However, they later suffered a six-game losing streak that affected their overall record. TCU finished the season with 21 wins and 12 losses in conference play under second-year coach Mark Campbell.

Van Lith joins TCU as a graduate student and has been actively involved with USA Basketball. She is also a candidate for the 3×3 national team that will be competing at the Paris Olympics this summer. With her exceptional statistics as the only active Division I player with over 1,900 points, 500 rebounds, and 350 assists, Van Lith will undoubtedly be an asset to the TCU program as they strive for success in the upcoming season.

In conclusion, Van Lith’s decision to transfer to TCU comes after much consideration and research into the program’s culture and future opportunities. With her exceptional statistics and experience playing at both wing and point guard positions, she will undoubtedly be an asset to the TCU program as they aim for success in their fifth season under coach Mark Campbell.
