Rainn Wilson, the actor who played Dwight in “The Office,” has come up with a new business idea to sell custom sleep pillows featuring his voice as a soothing accompaniment to sleep. Despite the general incompetence of the characters in the series, AT&T Business’s solutions remain consistent in helping businesses get off the ground.
In the new campaign, Wilson is joined by other actors from “The Office” including Jenna Fischer (Pam), Craig Robinson (Darryl), Creed Bratton (Creed), Kate Flannery (Merideth) and Brian Baumgartner (Kevin) as they work on launching the product. The team struggles with inventory management, creating social media content and accessing the computer room to officially launch the site. However, after some challenges, they manage to successfully launch the site and relax with their custom pillows.
The campaign was teased during the Masters golf tournament and officially launched on April 17. Despite being off air for more than a decade, “The Office” remains relevant due to its popularity on streaming services. The actors from the show have appeared in various advertising campaigns over the years, drawing on their characters’ personas in some cases and not in others. Some of the brands they have promoted include Cheerios, Bush’s Beans and Apple’s Filemaker.
