Buffalo Museum of Science debuts innovative “Art of Research” exhibit

The Buffalo Museum of Science is currently showcasing a new exhibit that highlights how research can be both interesting and beautiful. The event, hosted by the University at Buffalo, featured the second annual Art of Research competition at the museum on Tuesday night. Graduate and post-doctoral students were given the opportunity to display their work at the exhibit.

Dean Graham Hammill from UB’s Graduate School spoke about the importance of the project, stating that it allows students to effectively communicate their studies and findings to the public. He emphasized the broad impacts that graduate research can have, from curing diseases and creating technologies to solving social inequities. The exhibit aims to help students step out of the specifics of their research and show the broader picture to the community.

The exhibit will be available for viewing at the museum through May, giving visitors the chance to appreciate the intersection of research, art, and community impact. It serves as a reminder of the important work being done by graduate students and post-doctoral researchers in a variety of fields. Be sure to stop by and see the beautiful and insightful creations on display.
