Nicklaus Children’s Health System is committed to providing the best possible care for its young patients. To achieve this, the system has partnered with Philips to enhance its cardiac care capabilities. The partnership has led to the implementation of the Philips EPIQ CVx and Compact 5500CV AI-enabled ultrasound systems. These systems have been designed specifically to cater to the needs of pediatric patients, with a focus on making medical procedures fun and instilling confidence in children.
The EPIQ CVx system automates measurements and strain quantification, reducing quantification time by 51% and helping sonographers reduce exam time for 2D imaging by 20%. The Compact 5500CV system provides TrueVue imaging technology that helps in interpreting structural heart disease progression and improving communication between echocardiographers and interventionalists. This technology provides crucial clinical information, increases diagnostic confidence, and ultimately improves procedure guidance and patient outcomes.
Jeff DiLullo, Chief Region Leader for Philips North America, emphasized the importance of collaboration between healthcare providers and families in creating a healthy future for every child at Nicklaus Children’s. He highlighted the significance of providing pediatric coaching solutions and AI-enabled tools that assist clinicians in delivering exceptional outcomes while giving families hope for the future. Nicklaus Children’s Health System is known as one of the top pediatric health systems with high survival rates in the nation, which highlights its commitment to patient safety and innovation.
