Construction on the $100 million Center for Brain Health, a new patient care and clinical trials facility of UT Health San Antonio, is currently about 35% complete. The project is expected to be fully completed by September 2025, with an anticipated opening in December 2025. The Center for Brain Health is located at 4940 Charles Katz Drive and is part of UT Health San Antonio’s $1 billion capital investment plan, which includes the opening of the UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital in December.
The facility, designed by Alamo Architects Inc. and TreanorHL, will contain 75 exam rooms, 50 faculty offices, a 12-chair non-oncology infusion center, an outpatient pharmacy, and space for leading research and clinical trials. Joeris General Contractors, Ltd. is the builder of the project. The five-level building spans 103,500 gross square feet and aims to provide easy access for families and patients under one roof.
The Center for Brain Health aims to provide innovative care for patients with various neurological conditions and to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field. With its state-of-the-art facilities and expert staff, the center is poised to make a significant impact on brain health care in the San Antonio area and beyond. It will also serve as an educational site for medical residents and postgraduate trainees.
