Tom Stoltman emerges victorious at the 2024 World’s Strongest Man competition

Tom Stoltman has clinched his third title as the “World’s Strongest Man” in four years after winning the 2024 competition. His victory was nearly a wire-to-wire affair, with him securing the win on Sunday by excelling in his signature event, the Atlas Stones, earning 53 total points. This put him 5.5 points ahead of second-place finisher Mitchell Hooper, who defended his title from the previous year.

Hooper tried his best to stop Stoltman from winning again, but it was no use. With this victory, Stoltman now shares the title of third on the all-time winners list of the WSM with American Bill Kazmaeir (1980, 1981, 1982). Despite being only 29 years old, Stoltman consistently placed no lower than third in all six events held over the two days of competition. He tied for the most points in the Max Axle event and Keg Toss on day one, putting him in a commanding lead heading into day two.

Evan Singleton, an American competitor, finished in third place overall. He was the only American to make it to the finals this year and was also the best-performing American last year when he finished tied for fourth place. Luke Stoltman, Tom’s brother and Europe’s Strongest Man winner this year, finished in ninth place shortly after his brother’s victory.
