Sources have revealed that this move was made after StubHub stepped back from league-wide deals such as MLB, Paciolan, and now the NFL since being purchased by original founder Eric Baker in September 2021. In return for this privilege, Sports Illustrated Tickets is said to pay an annual seven-figure fee to be part of the NFL’s official ticketing ecosystem.
This partnership will undoubtedly benefit Sports Illustrated Tickets by significantly increasing its exposure within the competitive ticket resale landscape. As a company that initially debuted as SI Tix before rebranding to Sports Illustrated Tickets, it aims to gain market share against competitors such as StubHub, Vivid Seats, SeatGeek, and Ticketmaster. One of its key selling points is its commitment to transparency by offering no-fees in its transactions with customers.
