On Wednesday, Jay Wasemiller, a freshman from Bartlesville, made his mark at the boy’s golf Regionals. He shot an impressive team-best 76, securing his spot in the State qualifiers next week. Although Bartlesville finished in 10th place as a team, Wasemiller’s outstanding performance was a highlight of the day.
Lucas Wyatt and Nash Zervas also performed well, both shooting under 90. Despite their individual accomplishments, the team as a whole struggled to keep up with the competition. Nevertheless, Wasemiller’s exceptional performance caught the attention of many and he will now have the opportunity to represent Bartlesville at the State golf tournament on Monday and Tuesday at Oaks Country Club in Tulsa.
Stay tuned for more updates on Wasemiller’s journey as he competes against some of the best golfers in Oklahoma. We will be following his progress closely and bringing you all the latest news early next week.
