This year, the Bentley African Student Association (ASA) conference attracted ten speakers, a significant increase from the three speakers of the previous year. The event was planned and executed by a team of ten undergraduate students from ASA, including Danquah. The hard work and dedication of these teams were instrumental in the success of the conference. They were responsible for various tasks such as marketing, outreach, and operations.
Early in the planning process, they met with Bentley President E. LaBrent Chrite to discuss their plans and received his support and encouragement. Danquah expressed gratitude for this support, noting that it gave them confidence to aim for even greater growth in future events.
One attendee at the conference was Tufts University student Kristen Barth, who commended the ASA team for organizing a successful event that facilitated learning and networking among students while also inspiring a renewed commitment to contributing to the development of Ghana and Africa as a whole. She particularly appreciated the keynote address delivered by Jean-Paul Adam, which covered topics such as policy making, international collaboration, and unity among African nations.
Danquah believes that the impact of the conference can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of his teammates. He is optimistic about its potential to expand further in future events with continued support from Bentley’s leadership like President Chrite.
