As the 2024 MLB season approaches, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman sat down to evaluate each Major League Baseball team’s performance thus far. While some teams have faced setbacks, such as the loss of their aces to injury, the guys have only seen improvements for a few clubs. In this episode of Baseball Bar-B-Cast, they discuss their early season evaluations of all thirty teams in the AL East, AL Central, AL West, NL East, NL Central, and NL West.
The Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees both lost their aces to injury, but the guys only feel better about one of those teams. They explain why they are feeling better about teams like the Los Angeles Angels (thanks to Mike Trout) and the Milwaukee Brewers (thanks to Jackson Chourio). On the other hand, they are now more down on the Los Angeles Dodgers and even more down on the Chicago White Sox.
Later in the episode, Jake and Jordan discuss Jack Leiter’s long-awaited debut with Texas Rangers fans. They also provide insight into what viewers can expect from Leiter as he makes his first appearance on a Major League Baseball field.
