In 2024, six Minnesota breweries stood out among more than 2,000 worldwide by winning medals at the World Beer Cup in Las Vegas. These breweries showcased their world-class beers at the Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America.
Bent Paddle Brewing Co., located in Duluth, won a gold medal for its beer called Little Düssel Do-Ya in the German-style Altbier category. This beer also placed second in the German Ale category at this year’s Minnesota Brewers Cup.
Northbound Smokehouse & Brewpub in Minneapolis received a gold medal for its Doppelbock or Eisbock release, which was judged in the German-style Doppelbock or Eisbock category.
Lupulin Brewing in Big Lake earned a silver medal for its limited-release Dortmunder beer in the Dortmunder/Export or German-Style Oktoberfest category.
Excelsior Brewing Company’s Big Island Citrus Blonde Ale also received a silver medal for its fruity twist on their popular Big Island Blonde Ale, which was judged under Fruit Beer category.
BeerClub Brewing in Mora received a bronze medal for its customer favorite Doppel Bock beer, which was judged under German-Style Doppelbock or Eisbock category.
Pryes Brewing Co., located in Minneapolis won a bronze medal for their Idyll Forest Soirée as part of their Mixed Fermentation program, which was judged under Mixed-Culture Brett Beer category.
