Larian Studios Announces No Continuation of Baldur’s Gate Saga with Focus on New Projects

Larian Studios, the creators of “Baldur’s Gate 3,” has announced that they will not be working on a sequel to the game. Instead, the team is focusing on two new projects that are independent of the “Baldur’s Gate” saga. The studio is currently working on Patch 7 for their latest release, which will address bugs and improve evil endings, as well as introduce new modification tools to give players more control over the game.

“Baldur’s Gate 3” has been a massive success for Larian Studios, receiving recognition in several prestigious awards including the Golden Joysticks, Game Developers Choice, DICE, and The Game Awards, among others. This game has paved the way for their future endeavors and has solidified their success in the gaming industry.

In addition to Patch 7, Larian Studios is also looking to add cross-play and a photo mode in the future. However, they have stated that there will be no continuation of the story through a new narrative, expansion or sequel. Instead, the team is excited about developing their new projects which are completely separate from “Baldur’s Gate.”

The game is inspired by Dungeons and Dragons and offers an open world for players to explore freely while adapting the lore of popular role-playing game into a story where player decisions affect characters and outcomes.
