The 2024 World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas will feature a total of 32 teams competing in three different relay events: men’s 4x400m, women’s 4x400m, and mixed 4x400m. India will be represented in all three races at the event.
India’s men’s 4x400m relay team will consist of eight athletes, including Amoj Jacob, Muhammad Anas Yahiya, Muhammad Ajmal, and Rajesh Ramesh, who won gold at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games in the same event. The team will also feature Arokia Rajiv, Noah Nirmal Tom, Yashas Palaksha, and Avinash Krishna Kumar.
The women’s 4x400m relay team from India will consist of seven athletes led by MR Poovamma. Other athletes on the team include Vithya Ramraj, Aishwarya Mishra, and Subha Venkatesan. Jyothika Sri Dandi and Rupal will complete the team.
India’s mixed 4x400m relay team will include athletes like Vithya Ramraj, Rajesh Ramesh, Jyothika Sri Dandi, Amoj Jacob, Rupal, and Yashas Palaksha.
On day two of the event, all other teams will have their chance to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The top two teams in each heat will advance. Start lists for the event will be published on May 3rd
