Irving, Texas – Hillwood, a Perot company based in Dallas, has recently acquired the Freeport Business Center, an office park located near DFW Airport and major highways. The business center consists of three buildings spread across 34 acres, with a total of approximately 383,000 square feet of office space.
Despite having a 70% occupancy rate, the Freeport Business Center boasts notable tenants such as Boeing, Sirius XM, Northrop Grumman Corp., and Yardi Systems. This strategic acquisition by Hillwood is part of their ongoing effort to acquire high-quality, well-located real estate in key areas of North Texas.
“The decision to acquire the Freeport portfolio was driven by its prime location and close proximity to DFW International Airport and major highways,” said Steve Aldrich, senior vice president of Hillwood. “This makes it an ideal destination for businesses looking for connectivity and access to a skilled workforce.”
Hillwood’s presence in North Texas began with the development of Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport 35 years ago and has since expanded to include the development of AllianceTexas, as well as playing a significant role in the Victory Park area of Dallas anchored by the American Airlines Center. With this latest acquisition, Hillwood continues to solidify its position as a leading real estate developer in the region.
