Seeking Volunteers for Door-to-Door Census of Public Health Across Multiple Counties

In June, a groundbreaking community health survey is set to take place in Helena. Known as the Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response (CASPER), this collaborative effort involves organizations such as Lewis and Clark Public Health, Pureview Health Center, and St. Peter’s Health. Volunteers will be tasked with going door-to-door across Lewis and Clark, Jefferson, Powell, Broadwater, and Meagher counties to gather valuable information about community health conditions, behaviors, and social determinants.

Residents who participate in the survey will have the opportunity to win a $500 Visa gift card. The door-to-door survey is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, June 25th, between 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Thirty 2-member teams will be assigned to locate seven households in each census block who are willing to participate.

The data collected from the CASPER survey will be used to identify public health priorities and develop a community health improvement plan. The deadline to apply as a volunteer for the survey is Monday, June 17th. This initiative aims to gather valuable information that will help in addressing health issues and improving the overall well-being of the community.
