The Ministry of Health has denied the claims made by Guy Ben Shimon in his speech at the Parliamentary State Control Commission regarding suicides among Nova Festival survivors. According to the Ministry, they do not have any data on hospitalizations or suicides among the survivors and the figures mentioned in the speech were incorrect. Dr. Gilad Bodenheimer, head of the mental health department at the Ministry of Health, stated that there were no suicides or hospitalizations related to the massacre and that there is no such data available.
On a positive note, the Ministry of Health is actively providing psychological and psychiatric care to survivors of both festivals in collaboration with Bituach Leumi and the Ministry of Social Welfare. They are following a comprehensive government solution proposed by the Prime Minister’s Office. The Ministry encourages survivors and those in need of assistance to contact the National Center for Mental Resilience for individualized treatment, which is available from Sunday to Thursday by calling *5486.
