Hamas spokesperson: “After a two-day wait for the Israeli delegation, we left Cairo”

In an interview with the Saudi TV channel Al-Sharak, a member of the Hamas delegation at the negotiations in Cairo blamed Benjamin Netanyahu for the lack of progress in negotiations with Israel. The representative stated that the Islamic Resistance Movement is prepared to return to the negotiating table if a second party appears.

The member emphasized that they did not withdraw from the negotiations or reject the Egyptian mediators, and they waited for the Israeli delegation for two days in Cairo, but they did not show up. However, there is still a possibility of reaching an agreement if the other party is serious.

The Hamas representative mentioned that their movement has proposed its own ideas on certain points of the agreement and is awaiting a clear response from the Israeli side. They also commented that Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements have increased suspicions that his true intentions are to continue the war. Nevertheless, they expressed their interest in reaching an agreement and continuing negotiations.
