On Saturday, the Mississippi State Department of Health is hosting a “Be in Good Health” symposium at the Jackson Convention Complex. The event will feature a gospel choir competition, informative talks from health experts and free health screenings.
The competition will include at least eight choirs, including Anderson United Methodist Church Praise Team, Pastor J Artie Stuckey & VOR, and Jemero Carter & Kingdomology. The symposium is being organized by the Office of Health Equity and the Community Engagement Center of the Jackson Heart Study.
Attendees can expect a day filled with soulful music, valuable health information and the opportunity to get important health screenings.
