Weekly performance of Gulf stocks shows mixed results

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries experienced a mixed performance in their stock markets last week. In Dubai, the market index saw a slight decline of 0.05% to 4244.15 points, while Abu Dhabi’s market rose by 0.1% to 9237.26 points. The Saudi market index ended the week with a 1.1% increase, closing at 12,705 points. Kuwait’s general market index declined by 0.75% over 3 sessions, closing at 7,271.82 points, and trading was closed on Thursday and will resume on Sunday.

Bahrain’s general index declined by 1.67% over 5 sessions, closing at 2,021.54 points, while Qatar’s stock exchange index fell by 1.28% to 9816.30 points. In Oman, the Muscat Stock Exchange index rose by 0.16% to 4680.67 points. Overall, the stock markets in the GCC countries saw a range of performances with some indices rising and others falling over the week.
