Her passion for mental health advocacy began at an early age, when she struggled with her own mental health issues. She saw firsthand the importance of seeking help and wanted to use her experiences to help others. This led her to pursue a degree in psychology, which she completed in 2022 with honors.
Throughout her education journey, she has always been committed to making a difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges. She began volunteering for Kids Minds Matter while completing her associate’s degree at Florida SouthWestern College in 2020, where she helped raise awareness about mental health issues through organizing events and educating others on the topic.
Her involvement with Kids Minds Matter continued as a behavioral health intern at FGCU, where she used her knowledge and skills to further advocate for mental health education and awareness. Now, as a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, she sees this as just the beginning of her journey towards making a positive impact in the world of mental health advocacy. She hopes to continue educating others on the importance of seeking help and destigmatizing conversations about mental health challenges.
