Alica Schmidt, a German track star and the “world’s sexiest athlete,” has recently qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics. This achievement comes three years after she faced difficulties in Tokyo. Schmidt was part of the team that qualified for the mixed 4×400-meter race at the World Athletics Relays Bahamas 24. She expressed her excitement about this accomplishment on her Instagram Stories.
In one of her Stories, Schmidt wrote, “From paradise to Paris,” expressing her journey to the upcoming Olympics. She and her teammates celebrated their qualification with a trip around Nassau, swimming with pigs on the island. Schmidt is an accomplished track athlete on the European circuit, having won medals at various championships.
Despite setbacks at the 2022 European Championships and the World Athletics Championships, where she failed to qualify, Schmidt is determined to make her mark in Paris. She took a break from the sport in 2021 after missing out on a medal at the Tokyo Olympics. In 2023, she was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 member and has a massive following on Instagram.
