Upcoming Science Café on April 3 to Showcase Dr. Sarah Wyatt and her Presentation on “Growing Plants Beyond Gravity”

Dr. Sarah Wyatt will be the featured speaker at the final Science Café event of the spring semester on Wednesday, April 3 at 5 p.m. at The Front Room Coffeehouse in Baker University Center. The event will also be live-streamed on YouTube. Attendees will receive free coffee coupons while supplies last, and seating is limited to 50 attendees in person.

In her presentation titled “Growing (Plants) Beyond Gravity,” Dr. Wyatt will explore the role gravity plays in plant growth and development. She will discuss how gravity affects the positioning of leaves, stems, roots, flowers, seeds, and fruits, and share her research on this topic with her students. Dr. Wyatt specializes in studying molecular mechanisms of signaling in plant responses, focusing on how plants react to gravity as a professor in the Department of Environmental and Plant Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio University.
