On Saturday, April 27, students from four Oakdale Elementary schools will come together to participate in the 26th Annual Elementary Science Olympiad. Teams from Cloverland, Fair Oaks, Magnolia, and Sierra View have been preparing for this exciting event, which will be held at Walnut School in Turlock from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Approximately 300 elementary school children from across the county will take part in the competition, which is being sponsored by the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) and the Education Foundation of Stanislaus County. This year’s Science Olympiad promises to be a fun and educational day for all involved.
The event will feature a variety of exciting challenges, including Bridge Building, Can Race, Catapult, Circuit Wizardry, Crime Busters, Deep Blue Sea, Knock, Knock Who’s There, Leaf & Tree, Mystery Architecture, No Bones About It
