Stars from ‘As the World Turns’ announce split

In a surprising turn of events, CBS has announced the cancellation of long-running daytime chatfest “The Talk” after 15 seasons. The news comes as a shock to many fans who have been following the show for years.

Meanwhile, in another piece of soap opera news, co-stars Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain recently announced their divorce after 10 years of marriage. The split was revealed in a statement posted on Instagram by the couple, who explained that their goals and priorities had taken them in different directions. Despite their separation, they emphasized that they remain close friends and wish each other all the best.

Lindstrom and McClain met while starring together on “As The World Turns,” which ended in 2010 and was later replaced by “The Talk” on CBS. Now, 14 years later, “The Talk” is coming to an end, with CBS working on a new soap opera called “The Gates.” This show will have a predominantly Black cast and focus on the lives of a wealthy Black family living in a gated community. If successful, it is expected to replace “The Talk” in its time slot.
