The Cal men’s golf team had a standout weekend, finishing second at the Pac-12 championships in Arizona. Ethan Fang, Sampson Zheng, and Eric Lee all placed in the top-13 individually, marking the best finish for the Bears since 2016. With hopes of earning a bid to the NCAA regionals in May, this achievement is a significant step towards their goal.
In addition to golf, the Cal women’s water polo team also had an impressive showing over the weekend. They secured a runner-up spot at the MPSF championships after advancing to the title game for the first time since 2011. Rozanne Voorvelt and Mary Dempsey made significant contributions with their goal-scoring, leading to this achievement. The Bears will now host the NCAA Championships at their own Spieker Aquatics Complex for the first time.
The Cal beach volleyball team also had success over the weekend, securing a program-best No. 7 seed and earning a spot in the NCAA championships for the third consecutive year. They will face Long Beach State in
