On a doubleheader against Norway at the Hancock Driving Park, the Bulldogs’ softball team emerged victorious. In game one, Brooke Koskela drove in four runs and Sofie Freeman went 3-for-4, leading the Bulldogs to a sweep of the Iron Mountain Mountaineers with scores of 12-0 and 18-2.
Koskela had an impressive game, hitting a single, a triple, and a two-run home run in the fifth inning. She finished 3-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored. Sydnie Scholie also contributed, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, a double, and a run scored. Freeman went 2-for-4 with three runs scored while Ella Storm also went 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Sadie Biekkola was stellar in the pitcher’s circle, striking out ten batters and only giving up two hits while also making an impact at the plate with two RBI and one run scored.
In game two, it was again Freeman who hit another home run to help drive the offense as well as knocking in two runs and scoring three times. Scholie also had another great performance going 3
