Lincoln Northeast High School recently collaborated with the University of Nebraska Lincoln to host a college fair, focusing on the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. During the evening of their parent-teacher conferences, students had the opportunity to learn more about programs in animal and food science, engineering, forensic science, and pre-veterinary studies offered at UNL.
This strategic decision by coordinators Tammera Mittelstet from the ag science college and Northeast Principal Keri Applebee was aimed at making it more convenient for students and their families. By hosting the fair during conferences, they hoped to attract a larger community of stakeholders who were already present at the school.
Both UNL and Northeast High School are excited to continue their partnership in the future, with the goal of providing even more students with opportunities to explore various career paths and visualize their future goals. This initiative aims to help students make connections and gain insights into potential future endeavors in agriculture, science, engineering, and more.
