The Prosecutor General’s Office has made several requests for the confiscation of illegal properties, totaling over 86 billion 480 million drams equivalent to one billion dollars. Today, prosecutor Anna Vardapetyan presented three of these applications in parliament.
For ex-President Robert Kocharyan and his associates, the prosecutor is seeking the return of 25 units of real estate and over 35 billion drams in deposit securities. Additionally, they are asking for the right to request loans equivalent to about 10 billion drams. For ex-Chairman of SRC Gagik Khachatryan and his related persons, the prosecutor is requesting the confiscation of around 200 units of real estate in favor of Armenia. This includes 56 properties located in the center of Yerevan. Khachatryan is also required to surrender 13 means of transport, participation in 29 legal entities, over 1.4 million dollars in deposits and securities, and demand loans equivalent to more than 23 million dollars.
Furthermore, the leader of the “Prosperous Armenia” party, ex-MP Gagik Tsarukyan and his related persons are being asked to forfeit 79 real estates, 42 vehicles, and the acquisition value of 8 unidentified vehicles in the amount of 349 million drams in favor of Armenia.
