The World Water Forum is a highly anticipated event that will take place in Bali from May 18 to 24, 2024. Organized by the World Water Council and the Republic of Indonesia, this 10th edition of the Forum is expected to attract over 30,000 participants from 172 countries.
UNEP will be hosting several events at the Forum, including discussions on sustainable lake management, water quality at a basin scale, smart water management capabilities, and advancing prosperity across the entire water cycle. These events aim to foster collaborations and address global water challenges, promoting sustainable water management practices.
The sessions at the Forum will cover a broad range of topics, including the importance of linking water for humans and nature, global processes and initiatives for a water-secure world, and transformative changes needed for a Water-Smart Society. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with experts and practitioners in the field and exchange knowledge and best practices to advance water management efforts worldwide.
