Xi and Blinken Emphasize Cooperation and Respect in US-China Bilateral Relationship

During a meeting in Beijing, Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of cooperation and respect between China and the United States. He urged US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to be true to his word in order to resolve unresolved issues in their bilateral relationship.

Xi acknowledged the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, highlighting the need for them to be partners rather than rivals, focusing on mutual benefit, and setting aside differences. He stressed that the changing international landscape requires dialogue, managing differences, and promoting cooperation between the two nations to meet the expectations of their peoples and the global community.
