Yet another vehicle collides with a Wytheville establishment

A Wytheville Waffle House was hit by a car on Wednesday morning, but fortunately no one was injured in the incident. This is the third time in recent years that a vehicle has collided with a business in the town. The driver, Robin Noe from Kingsport, Tennessee, accidentally crashed into the building while attempting to park her car in front of the Waffle House. Police were called to the scene at 1400 East Main St. at 3:47 a.m., but upon investigation, they found no evidence of driver impairment and did not press charges, considering it a private property incident to be settled by insurance companies.

In February 2023, two people were injured when a 71-year-old woman mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake pedal and drove her Ford Taurus through the front of Wytheville’s Dollar Tree store. The store was still repairing damage from another incident involving a 92-year-old woman who also mistakenly drove into the store and caused damage, although no injuries were reported in that incident as well. Despite these occurrences, efforts are being made to ensure public safety and prevent similar accidents from happening in the future.
