The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team has once again secured a spot in postseason play for the second year in a row, with their successful 16-10 record. They will be competing in the UTR NIT tournament, which takes place from May 5-8 in Bradenton, Florida. The full bracket for the tournament is yet to be announced.
The Cowgirls had an impressive season, finishing third in the Mountain West Conference with a 7-3 record. Three Cowgirls received All-Mountain West honors: Noesjka Brink and Sophie Zehender made the All-Singles Team, while Violetta Borodina and Zehender made the All-Doubles Team.
This year’s tournament promises to be exciting as Wyoming competes against teams like Colorado, West Virginia, Tulsa, Liberty, Appalachian State, Pacific and Saint Mary’s. Fans can catch all the action on Amazon Prime Video. Last season, the Cowgirls finished with a 2-1 record in the inaugural NIT tournament.
