WhatsApp Introduces New Storage Management System: Chats and Channels for Easy Organization

WhatsApp has recently introduced a new system for managing storage on their platform, which includes two tabs – Chats and Channels. This feature aims to help users free up space by organizing images, documents, videos, and other files.

The updated system now includes filters that distinguish between storage for Chats and Channels. Additionally, there is a new tab called ‘All’ that combines both tabs, allowing users to focus on specific types of content. This feature, found in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, aims to help users identify conversations or channels that are taking up the most space and streamline the process of cleaning and freeing up storage.

In addition to these features, Meta, the company behind WhatsApp, has added a new section in the Settings where users can check their storage and data usage, as well as network activity and automatic file downloads. The ‘Manage Storage’ folder displays the storage used and available, as well as a list of Chats with saved contacts and the files shared with them.
