The Helsinki Stock Exchange has released a list of the ten most popular stocks among investors. According to the report, there is no direct correlation between income and ownership development. Despite this, the rankings of the most owned stocks have remained relatively consistent at the beginning of the year, with some fluctuations in ownership numbers.
Nordea, a banking group, remains the company with the highest number of owners on the Helsinki Stock Exchange, with an increase of 5,400 owners at the start of the year. Neste, an oil refining company that experienced a 32% decline in its share price in the current year, saw an increase of over 15,000 new owners.
Nokia, a network equipment company that previously held first place on this list, lost more than 8,000 owners at the beginning of the year but had strong performance in terms of stock prices. Fortum and Kesko joined this list as new entrants in 2021. Fortum gained over 13,000 new owners while Kesko saw an increase of over 5,300 new owners.
The report shows that despite changes in ownership and performance data from year to year, these companies continue to attract investor attention on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
