The National Startup Index Report offers a comprehensive analysis of the startup ecosystem, focusing on new business ventures that are driven by science and technology. Developed by the Institute for Entrepreneurship Research, part of the National Startup Association, this report is published annually to compare Vietnam’s startup ecosystem with those of other countries in the region and around the world.
At a ceremony to present the National Startup Promotion Index Framework Report and launch the Startup Research Institute, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen An Thinh emphasized the importance of this report in identifying the strengths of Vietnam’s startup ecosystem, analyzing potential industries, and promoting investment in startups. The report aims to foster a knowledge and innovation economy, enhance competitiveness, and cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit among young people.
The report is divided into five sections that analyze global startup trends, national startup criteria, localities, industries, fields, and startup faces. Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh highlighted the role that businesses play in applying science, technology, and innovation to drive socio-economic development in today’s rapidly changing technological landscape. He also praised the establishment of the Startup Research Institute for supporting innovative startups in science and technology.
