University of Jamestown Baseball Team Excels in 2021 Season with GPAC All-Conference Awards

GPAC celebrates eight Jimmies baseball players – Jamestown Sun

The University of Jamestown baseball team had an impressive 2021 season, with eight players receiving GPAC All-Conference awards. Alex Alva, Avery Liestman, and Ethan Petty were named to the first team, while Chase Burke, Cade Torgerson, and Jordan Singleton made the second team. Additionally, four Jimmies received honorable mentions: Ryan Radkey, Hayden Brown, Luke Zimmer, and Jett Nelson.

Each player played a crucial role in the team’s success this season. Alva hit .330 with five home runs and 37 RBIs, while also stealing 12 bases. Liestman had an outstanding first season as a Jimmie, going 7-1 with a 2.38 ERA and 46 strikeouts. Petty pitched in 23 games, going 1-1 with a 0.42 ERA and 36 strikeouts.
