A recent study has revealed that the tragic small plane accident in Iceland that claimed the lives of three individuals from our country was caused by human error. The pilot, along with the three passengers, perished in the incident. The Cessna C172 aircraft was too heavy to land on Lake Þingvalla, causing the wheels to fall through the ice immediately upon landing.

The victims of the crash included three employees of Suspicious Antwerp and the pilot. Haraldur Diego, who piloted the plane, disappeared from radar during a flight over Iceland’s Golden Circle route without sending a distress signal before crashing.
