The Sports Hub leads over its rivals in the winter radio ratings

Boston sports radio rivalry between 98.5 The Sports Hub and WEEI continues to show a clear dominance in favor of The Sports Hub. In the recent winter Nielsen Audio ratings period from January 4 to March 27, The Sports Hub finished first overall and across its three daytime programs, while also ranking second in the evenings among its main targeted demographic of men 25-54.

According to the Nielsen Audio ratings, The Sports Hub boasted an impressive 15.6 share in the winter period, while WEEI lagged behind with a 3.6 share. When it comes to breaking down the ratings by day parts, The Sports Hub’s morning show “Toucher and Hardy” took the top spot with a 17.9 share. Co-host Rob “Hardy” Poole joined the show as Rich Shertenlieb’s replacement, and they quickly solidified their position as the top morning program.

In the midday slot, “Zolak and Bertrand” from The Sports Hub earned a 15.4 share, far surpassing WEEI’s “Gresh and Fauria” at 3.5. Afternoon drive belonged to “Felger and Massarotti” from The Sports Hub, finishing first with an impressive 19.8 share while WEEI’s programming struggled to compete.

Evening programming also saw The Sports Hub dominating with a second-place finish at 12.8, showcasing a strong lineup that includes Bruins and Celtics broadcasts
