Three ex-Texas Rangers Displayed Their World Series Rings in Kansas City

The Texas Rangers celebrated their 2023 World Series victory with a pre-game ceremony at Globe Life Field. During the event, the team distributed rings to players from the previous year’s squad, as well as former players who had moved on. This was made possible by Major League Baseball’s new schedule, which ensures that every team plays against each other at least once in a season.

In Seattle, the Rangers presented catcher Mitch Garver with his World Series ring during a recent homestand. In Kansas City, the team gave rings to three Royals players – pitchers Cole Ragans, Chris Stratton, and Will Smith. Ragans played with the Rangers for the first three months of the season before being traded to another team. Stratton was acquired by the Rangers from the St. Louis Cardinals along with Jordan Montgomery, who is now playing for another team. Will Smith has been part of three World Series-winning teams in his career – including the Rangers and Houston Astros in 2021 and Atlanta Braves in 2022.

However, some former Rangers players are still waiting to receive their World Series rings, including Jordan Montgomery, Aroldis Chapman, and Austin Hedges. The team plans to continue honoring their former players as they face them throughout the season.

The ceremony was a meaningful moment for both current and former players alike. It served as a reminder of their hard work and dedication to their craft, as well as their contributions to one of baseball’s most successful teams over the past few years.

Overall, it was a great way for fans to witness history in action and see how Major League Baseball’s new schedule can bring people together despite differences in teams or locations.

The Texas Rangers have always been known for their strong sense of camaraderie and loyalty towards each other, even after they have left the organization. This tradition will continue throughout the season as they honor their past while looking forward to what lies ahead on this exciting journey through baseball’s greatest moments.
