Tesla has announced that 14,000 employees worldwide will be laid off, with CEO Elon Musk citing cost reduction and improved productivity as the reasons. The company’s annual report for 2023 revealed that they had employed 140,473 workers in December. In March, Tesla hired several hundred temporary workers at a factory in Grünheide, near Berlin. However, the company has now let go of 300 fixed-term workers at that location, clarifying that regular employees were not affected. Despite this announcement, Tesla has provided resources on various academic topics such as capstone project ideas and other writing tips on their platform.
