The Wings for Life World Run is the largest running event in the world, with over 200,000 participants from 195 countries every year. It’s an open event that welcomes people of all abilities to run, walk or participate in a wheelchair. One of the unique aspects of this event is its format, which accommodates individuals of various fitness levels. Unlike traditional races, the Wings for Life World Run features a virtual “Catcher Car” that starts 30 minutes after the race begins. Once the Catcher Car passes you, your race officially concludes. In addition to its unique format, the run serves as a fundraiser for research efforts to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.
