Vicki Ray, a superfan of the Denver Nuggets and a season ticket holder for 32 years, has filed a lawsuit against Kroenke Sports and Entertainment. Ray’s ban from games at Ball Arena has been in place for several years, but she claims that her conduct has always complied with the NBA Fan Code of Conduct.
Ray believes that her ban is a deliberate attempt to resell her season tickets at a higher price due to the increasing demand for Denver Nuggets tickets. She also lost out on four seats that cost her $20,000. In documents submitted to the court, Ray asserts that her ban violates multiple laws and regulations, including breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, violation of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act, and intentional or reckless infliction of emotional distress.
The case has been filed in Denver District Court, and Jennifer McRae, a digital media producer with over 25 years of news experience, is covering it for CBS News. McRae has been part of the digital team recognized for Best Website multiple times by the Colorado Broadcasters Association.
