In the upcoming year, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) is aiming to achieve a profit of 70.2 billion VND, which would mark a 24% increase from previous figures. Despite reducing nearly 4,500 taels of gold bars, SJC is forecasting an increase in profit after tax. The company plans to produce more than 444,900 pieces of jewelry and nearly 31,700 taels of gold bars in the upcoming year.
SJC has outlined a revenue plan of approximately 30,145 billion VND, slightly down from the 2023 plan. However, they are striving for a profit of 70.2 billion VND. If successful, this would mark the third consecutive year that SJC has achieved revenue exceeding a billion USD with record profits in the past six years. As a 100% state-owned enterprise under the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, SJC has significantly contributed to the state budget over the years.
In the upcoming year, SJC is focusing on investing in jewelry production and business expansion and aims to become a leading enterprise in the industry. They plan to introduce new products such as agarwood items, handicrafts, watches, and eyeglasses through collaborations with travel companies to reach customers both domestically and internationally.
